I am a data scientist based in Valencia, Spain, finishing an MSc in Data Science at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. I work on applied machine learning and deep learning: predictive models on educational data, an open housing dataset published with a DOI, and human activity recognition from sensor time series.
Before data, I spent ten years as a physiotherapist and a vocational teacher, turning complex information into decisions for people without a technical background — in clinics, in professional sport and in the classroom. That is still the part of the work I care about most: a model nobody can act on is not finished.
Selected projects
Alicante Housing Market Analysis — an end-to-end pipeline over 1,802 property listings, from scraping to geospatial enrichment, gradient boosting with SHAP and hypothesis testing. Released as an open dataset with a DOI.
ED-Alert — early school leaving across Spanish regions against the European ELET indicator, combined with PISA 2022 data to surface the strongest predictors of dropout risk. Delivered as an interactive Tableau story for guidance counsellors.
